For the last 10 years, traditionally every November - December, tens of thousands of people from differing industries come to various conferences in the city of Eilat.
Especially during the off-season winter, we would be welcomed by the City with great joy and blessing. It brought millions of ILS to the City and its residents, both directly and indirectly, to the hotel industry, the food industry, retail consumption and more.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the City of Eilat has been hard hit. The City was paralyzed and almost sealed off. We painfully watched the difficulties of its inhabitants struggling to make a living and support their families.
So why in an "off-year", when the economic situation in Eilat is so complicated, are all the conferences turning their backs and running to the Gulf countries, which are dangerous in terms of security to Israelis?
Our families and friends will go to Eilat and strengthen the local industry!
